Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki makes surprise visit to the Commercial Bank of Iraq

Within the framework of field trips undertaken by the Prime Minister to monitor the performance of work in different state institutions and fight corruption and irregularities that harm the economy and state building, sovereignty, today visited the Commercial Bank of Iraq.
The information had indicated the presence of irregularities in certain transactions, which called on Prime Minister to the formation of a committee of the Ministry of Finance and Office of Financial Supervision and the Central Bank and the Integrity Commission and the Centre for Transparency and experts from banks, which emphasized in its report, the confluence of the reports of the Office of the Prime Minister about these irregularities subjected to monitoring and follow-up for a long time so that the report of the Committee based on real information, diagnostics and scientific objectivity.
Has been ratified by the Prime Minister on the report of the Committee, and referred their findings to the judiciary to assume command of the discount.
He stressed during his meeting with a cadre bank keen to strengthen the confidence of financial institutions of the State, in particular, a bank, and is achieved through arbitration standards of integrity in the transactions of the bank and the prosecution of offenses as they happen.
The Prime Minister said that follow-up will include all officials and state institutions, without exception.
