Total is preparing to leave the Turkish market, because of the high taxes imposed by authorities on the fuel companies operating in the country.
Comes out after the withdrawal of the total Group of global banks of Turkey, because of Government interference in the Central Bank's monetary policy.
Economist, Ufuk channle: ' fuel trading in the country unprofitable, due to high government taxes on fuel, another reason for weak profit is that companies purchase fuel in dollars and sold in the Turkish Lira, the Government is also difficult and complex requirements on foreign companies operating in the country, and deals with duplication of requirements from one company to another, and this is another reason why firms to leave the country. '
With attached Turkish citizen, Jamil altonbash, saying: ' the Government take fifty or sixty percent of our salaries tax, and then impose the fuel back 60 percent tax, so they take our tax twice, and this is very unfortunate. "
