UN calls for al-Jaafari to take a stand against attempts to tear Iraq apart and compromising its sovereignty

Twilight News / called Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, on Wednesday, the United Nations to take a stand for what he called attempts to "disrupt the unity of the social fabric" in the country and compromising its sovereignty.
He said al-Jaafari, according to a statement during a meeting with a representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubiš "the importance that the United Nations play a role in supporting, and assisting Iraq in various aspects: (humanitarian, security and political, and services)."
He explained that "the United Nations is the umbrella International responsible for the protection and support of the peoples of the world, pointing out that the Foreign Ministry is ready to provide all the facilities for the success of the work of the UN Mission in Iraq, and hiring efforts and energies to provide all kinds of support, and to contribute to maintain the security and stability of Iraq," stressing "the need for the United Nations stands a courageous stand against all attempts that seek to tear the fabric of community and unity of the Iraqi sovereignty and touch."
For his part, the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubiš said he "will make every effort, and the potential to provide assistance to Iraq in various fields," adding that "to hold talks with the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon during his visit to the United Nations in New York as hard as possible strengthen the work of the UN Mission, and help save the unit, and security and stability of Iraq. "
