Affirmed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Sunday, that his country is working to conclude a new agreement between them and producers outside OPEC to stabilize oil prices in an effort to raise it to 100 dollars per barrel.
Maduro said after his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, said that "Venezuela is currently working for the agreement we hope reached in next June regarding the declaration between OPEC and some of the most important producers (oil) in the world to stabilize the market in the second half of this year."
It was not clear to what extent low levels of this effort succeeded, with Brent rising oil prices about 50 per cent in January to more than $ 65 a barrel.
Maduro's comments come a month after Russian officials say they conducted active consultations "in a manner unprecedented" with OPEC countries but tangible results of these discussions have not been met.
It did not seem to officials from Russia's second largest oil producer in the world any indication that they are ready to cut their production.
He added that the President of Venezuela, "the interest of his country and the countries of OPEC oil prices to stabilize around $ 100 a barrel in the medium term."
And this opinion differs with the opinion of many others in OPEC, where he says most of them they do not expect the return of such a price before the lapse of years.
Some OPEC sources said that key members of the Gulf in the hope that the OPEC crude price stabilizes at around $ 70 a barrel.
