Expert calls for the establishment of a national fund to support budget

BAGHDAD - A follow-up to the Orient:
called economist, Sami al-Amin, on Saturday, to the creation of a national fund to support the general budget, as warned of the threat of bankruptcy, the government called for immediately stop spending on non-essential sectors. The Secretary in a press statement: that «the fiscal deficit began expanding day after day until the government has become, today, is facing the threat of bankruptcy, which will lead to the suspension of salaries and disrupt essential projects», calling on the government to «stop spending on non-essential sectors». He called on the Secretary to «set up a national fund to provide funds to support the general budget», adding that «this solution resorted to by many countries may contribute more or less to obstruct the crisis». The country is facing a severe financial crisis due to the large deficit in the general budget after the fall in world oil prices and in light of the escalation of the war against al «Daash» and their high cost.
