Kurdistan and Iran sign agreement to exchange prisoners

The Ministry of Social Affairs in the Kurdistan Region, on Tuesday, signed an agreement with Iran on the exchange of prisoners between the two sides, pointing out that 86 Iranian prisoners submitted their applications to spend their sentences in Iran and will be transferred soon.
The ministry said in a statement that "the Minister of Social Affairs in the Kurdistan Mohammed Haodiagn Consul Iranian Morteza Hosseini signed, yesterday, agreement on the exchange of prisoners between the two sides," indicating that "the Convention serving with the prisoners in the region and Iran to facilitate the visit relatives imprisoned."
The ministry added that "86 Iranian prisoners in the Kurdistan region, including four women Kdmn requests to transfer them to their home country and will be transferred soon," pointing out that "six prisoners from the people of the region in return made the request to transfer them from Iran to Kurdistan."
The ministry with prisoners and called for "making requests for the transfer of their relatives from Iran to the Kurdistan region and to spend their sentences in the region's prisons."
