Kurdistan Region’s independence a KDP priority: Masrour Barzani

Kurdistan Region Security Council Adviser, Masrour Barzani, stressed that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is struggling since its establishment for the rights of the Kurdish people to independence, and the party is working hard to achieve this goal. KDP official website quoted Barzani in an interview in a program on Kurdistan satellite channel, that is to display the interview on Saturday evening, as saying that the independence of Kurdistan is an important issue. KDP confirmed that it had and still struggled since its establishment and throughout its history for the independence of the Kurdish region in the north of Iraq, noting that “Kurds like all other peoples of the earth have the right to self-determination”, therefore, the issue has been and still is a priority for the party and will remain so, Shafaq News reported. Barzani called on political forces and Kurdish parties to make this issue a political platform for their work to be able to restore this right to the people of the region
