Baghdad (NINA) - Adviser of the Prime Minister for National Reconciliation, Amer Al Khuzae, said raising the regions issue only expresses regional concerns connected to disclosed intentions schemes.
A statement issued by Khuzae’s office quoted him as saying during a meeting with the tribal Sheikhs and prominent figures of Baiji district, Salahuddine province, with the presence of member of the tribes committee in the national reconciliation, Sheikh Anwar Al Nida Al Lahibi "Iraq is still the master of the region, so staying united will give it priority to lead the region in the near future."
He added "Iraq is targeted, and we must fend off the risks against it through the unity of its sons of all their sects and affiliations. We may disagree among ourselves, but, we must keep our loyalties to Iraq, so that it remains one."
For their part, the delegation stressed the unity of Iraq and the priority of the public interest on anything else, Noting that the purpose of their visit is to express their rejection to the idea of holding regions, demanding to amend the Constitution and change the regime system to a presidential regime in order not to repeat the quotas. /End/
