Saleh: three controversial points of a draft general amnesty law

Saleh added for (IMN), "The Legal Committee discussed yesterday the draft general amnesty law, and members of the Committee are still different on the three key points relating to Article IV of the anti-terrorism law and coverage procedures amnesty and counterfeiters certification documents and financial and administrative corruption."
And the National Alliance rejects the majority of its members to go to review the cases of the accused in accordance with Article IV of the anti-terrorism law, and considered that the trend in this regard is the diminution and the intervention of the work of the judiciary.
He said, "Some of the members of the Committee demanded that constitute a special judicial committee is working on a review of the sentences imposed on the defendants in accordance with Article IV of the anti-terrorism law to ensure that the provisions have been issued without the extract confessions by force, but the proposed rejection of the rest of the members of the Committee of the difficulty of its application."
He says members of the Iraqi National Forces Union that some sentences against the defendants in accordance with Article IV of the anti-terrorism law was built on confessions extracted by force by investigators and unless this is confirmed by the judiciary.
Saleh pointed out that "the dispute also revolves around a paragraph possibility of inclusion of counterfeiters certificates and documents a draft of the amnesty law as the bill excluded the document forgers of a general amnesty, and also there is disagreement on the financial and administrative corruption There are some sentences against the accused and was caused by an administrative error or lack of intent in the events of corruption and the dispute is about the possibility of benefitting from a pardon or not. "
