Demonstrators flocked to Tahrir Square in central Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Obelisk: According to a security source in Baghdad, on Friday, that the security forces closed off all entrances and exits of Baghdad's Green Zone, which includes the headquarters and offices of government officials, pointing to prevent the entry and exit of the Green Zone after the start of the demonstrators arriving to the center of the capital.
The source for "obelisk", "The security forces carried out this morning, closing the entrances and exits of the Green Zone, on the one hand Harthiya, suspension bridge, bridge of the Republic, the military and the entrance in the Karada Mariam".
The source, who asked not to be named, said: "closure came in anticipation of the protests, set to begin today center of the capital, as well as the attempt by some demonstrators who came out Ptzhardhm am crossing over the bridge to the region of the Republic."
He continued that "dozens of citizens, flocked to Tahrir Square and staged, a demonstration to demand better services, while the security forces to cut off a bridge Republic.
It is noteworthy that the Green Zone, located in central Baghdad containing government headquarters and the homes of senior officials, enjoying the protection of high security, where security forces have imposed strict measures on entry and exit to and from the region.
