Baghdad-Iraq-Presse August -21 / August: off, on Friday afternoon, a mass demonstration in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad in which more than 20 000 people from all shades of the Iraqi people. The demonstrators raised slogans confirm their support for the reforms, the prime minister Haider al-Abadi, and asking him to apply without discrimination and bring those responsible or corruption issues covered by the report of the fall of Mosul to the courts no matter what their party affiliation or positions they came up with.
Demonstrators also confirmed previous demands to improve water and electricity services and hold negligent officials in this vital files.
And it flew helicopters for the Army Aviation accumulated above the crowds in Tahrir Square, which is flying the Iraqi flag, in a move to reassure the demonstrators and to protect them.
The security forces imposed tight in the capital ahead of the demonstration and closed roads leading to Tahrir Square and called on protesters to respond with personal checks before entering the arena to ensure their safety. Ended (1)
