MP calls Barzani to work on returning the administrations system: negotiations at a dead end

Shafaq News / The member of Kurdistan Regional Parliament from Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc demanded the head of the regional government , Nechirvan Barzani to think about a diplomatic solution to the division of the region to two administrations.
The member of Kurdistan Parliament , Mohammed Ari Hersin wrote on the social networking site (Facebook) that “the mind says that the negotiations and consensus reached a dead end and that the courtesies and the efforts of compatibility does not have any result.
Hersin called the President of Kurdistan government to leave consensus behind as it has became impossible, thinking of a willingness to return to diplomacy to seek administrations system away from the shedding of the blood of the poor and needy people.
He called Barzani in the letter not to allow history to repeat infighting because history will not forgive him and all efforts will be lost.
Ari Hersin has talked repeatedly in recent times about administrations and internal political problems in the region.
Over the weeks of talks, the political parties did not reach a consensus on the presidency of the region crisis, where the mandate of the region’s president, Massoud Barzani ends at August 20 of this month.
Kurdistan Democratic Party has demanded to extend Barzani’s mandate for another two years by developing a constitution for the region to regulate the issue of the presidency and others.
But the other parties rejected it and filed bills in the parliament in order to change the system of government from presidential to parliamentary, which means reducing the president’s powers significantly.
