The statement added that "The Commission has analyzed the data and found that the number of applicants is (57 933) a citizen, and the number of contacts is complying with the voter register was (11721) a name, and the number of names corresponding to the voter register is (46 212) a name, in addition to the presence of (12) name of the deceased. "
The statement pointed out that "the number of voters in the province of Basra and installed in the voters' register is (1741599) required ratio by Law No. 13 of 2008 and the operational procedures to form regions is 2% is equivalent to (34831) voters, since the number of voters names matching is (46 212) at a rate of (2.65%) and therefore they have exceeded the percentage required by law, "noting that" the Board of Commissioners decided in its meeting held on 08.17.2015 to accept the request in terms of form. "
The statement continued that "the Board of Commissioners decided signature in the second phase for the formation of the administrative Basra province, according to the law of the executive procedures to form regions No. 13 of 2008 Article (4) (i) which is open for the reception of the voters to express their desire to form a provincial centers," explaining that "direct action In the second stage referred to in the first paragraph it is allocated after the receipt for the formation of Basra province from the federal government budget.
