Allawi renews his refusal to head NCSP

Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Iraqiya Alliance, Iyad Allawi, renewed that he is not interested in heading the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP), established by Erbil Agreement.
In a speech on Thursday, Oct. 6, Allawi said, “The cabinet was formed in accordance with political agreements and Barazani’s initiative; all what has been agreed on has been repudiated.” He described current situation of being dangerous and leads Iraq toward big problems.
Allawi expressed support to the initiative by leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem, saying, “We have long relations with the Kurdish Alliance and the SIIC.”
He added, “We need trust between Iraqi sides, the political forces are capable of getting Iraq to safety and security.”
“All political agreements have been possessed through taking advantage of others; the Iraqis will not accept humiliation.” Allawi went on saying. / End.
