Doha: the complexity of the Committee of Governors of Monetary institutions and central banks in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting the 62 on Wednesday in the Qatari capital Doha.
The Committee discussed a number of topics, including the recommendations of the committees and working groups under its supervision and relevant topics supervision and control of the banking system on the benchmarking of bank statements for the control of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the mechanism for the exchange of information between credit information centers and topics related payments developments workflow systems in the project study linking systems strategy Payments in the GCC countries.
The Committee looked at new developments in the fight against the financing of terrorism and money laundering in the GCC countries and efforts to establish arrangements for the 12 banking conference of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which will be hosted by the Sultanate of Oman in the second half of 2016.
The Committee will consider a report on the most significant developments in the framework of the monetary council in addition to exchanging views on monetary and financial developments in the GCC countries.
