It revealed the Ministry of Commerce, Sunday, that the next two months will witness the conversion of paper ration card from paper to electronic, so unexpected that limit the operations and detects corruption.
He said ministry spokesman Mohammed al-Hamdani, told the "Ply News", "the Ministry of Commerce ongoing reforms including the ration card," pointing out that "the ministry promised to the Commission in this regard mission follow-up ration card file."
Hamdani said that "the achievements of the Committee is near completion of the project to divert the ration card from paper to electronic, especially after the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers approve the project," expected "direct the project during the next two months."
Hamdani and stressed that "the benefits of this project is to eliminate the financial and administrative corruption made in the ration card rings, as well as ensure the safety of the arrival of these materials to families without exposure to cases of manipulation, will also facilitate a lot of action in front of the citizen in receipt of any agent in the pan over the country ".
Hamdani said that "the agents will receive those cards to be delivered in turn to the citizens", noting that "the distribution of the ration card items is done through the process of that card that contains the SIM card includes the names of all family members enrolled in the ration card."
The estimated amounts of the ration card should be available annually vocabulary of four million and 400 thousand tons of wheat and about a million tons of rice and 800 tons of sugar and 500 thousand tons of infant formula and 600 thousand tons of edible oil.
While appreciating the value of those materials per capita in the domestic market by about ten dollars, not counting the children's milk, while obtained through the ration card in the amount of 250 dinars only.
