Secretary-General of the United Nations reviews the importance of establishing the Arab Organization for electoral departments

(Independent) .. reviewed the Secretary General of the United Nations (Ban Ki-moon) the importance of the establishment of the Arab Organization for electoral departments in his report of the General Assembly.
A member of the Board of Commissioners in the election commission Safaa al-Moussawi said Ban Ki-moon said in his report of the General Assembly of the United Nations on 07.08.2015, to the establishment of the Arab Organization for electoral departments with the support of the United Nations Development Programme.
He said al-Moussawi said the point (18) of the report indicated its title to strengthening the United Nations role in enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of periodic elections held on the development of the electoral process and the promotion of democracy and the importance of the organization which was established in June 2015, as the first mechanism for coordination and regional cooperation between the Arab electoral departments To become the platform for networking and exchange of information and expertise between those departments to improve their performance in the application of accepted electoral practices regionally and internationally
The founders of Iraq to the Arab Organization for electoral departments, which includes a nine Arab countries (Iraq, Jordan, Tunisia, Sudan, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, and Yemen). (End)
