accept UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon importance of establishing the Arab Organization for electoral departments in his report of the General Assembly.
A member of the Board of Commissioners in the election commission Safaa al-Moussawi said in a statement received by the agency all of Iraq [where] a copy of "Ban Ki-moon said in his report of the General Assembly of the United Nations on 7 August, to the establishment of the Arab Organization for electoral departments with the support of the United Nations Development Programme .
"The point 18 of the report indicated its title to strengthening the United Nations role in enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of periodic elections held on the electoral process and to encourage the development of democracy and the importance of the organization which was established in June 2015, as the first mechanism for coordination and regional cooperation between the Arab electoral departments and become the platform for networking and exchange of information and expertise between those departments to improve their performance in the application of accepted electoral practices regionally and internationally.
