Oil: a consortium led by Kuwait Anregi production of the patch starts ninth in Basra by five thousand barrels

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - an alliance of investment companies and the Oil Ministry, said that under the leadership of the company (KEC) oil production from the area began exploratory ninth in the city of Basra and by five thousand barrels per day.
According to the Department of Petroleum contracts and licenses in the oil ministry said in a statement received the (IMN), that "production began in a well Fayhaa (1) within the area of exploration No. 9 in the province of Basra."
The statement quoted the Director General of the Department Abdul-Mahdi al-Amidi, saying that "the production process begun by five thousand barrels per day and it is hoped that production levels rise in the well to reach 20 000 barrels per day in the near future."
He stressed that "the Iraqi Oil Ministry is seeking to increase energy production and export of crude oil is reflected positively on the fiscal revenue realized."
The alliance of the two (KEC) Kuwait 70% and (Darcn Oil) UAE 30% has won a contract service to explore and develop the patch ninth exploration in the province of Basra, but the amendment was on the contract later included the sale of 10% of the share (Kuwait Energy) to (Egyptian Petroleum Corporation).
The Ministry of Oil announced a major breakthrough in solving the file joint oil fields between Iraq and Iran and by Iraq and Kuwait on the other.
He said ministry spokesman Assem Jihad, the oil ministry has made great progress in the technical aspects of joint oil fields with Iran, Kuwait and touched the cooperation and good faith to resolve these files in the nearest time.
Student and member of the Oil and Energy Committee MP Mohammed Kawa Federal Ministry of Oil to crack down with foreign oil companies operating in the oil fields of the contaminated environment.
Mohammed said the oil investment contracts signed between the Ministry of Oil companies and foreign investment oblige companies not to pollute the environment extractive waste oil, noting that foreign companies will not adhere to these agreements have been taken working on environmental pollution in the southern oil fields.
