NAJIB: SALE OF LAND TO INVESTORS CONFINE MYSELF TO RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - a member of the Parliamentary Commission of Economy Najiba Najib, said that the recent agreement on the amendments to the investment law, including ownership of land to investors for housing projects in particular, support and encouragement to investors.
She said Najib's (IMN) said that "the economic and investment commission discussed during the last period of the Investment Law and paragraph ownership of land for investors, and there were different views on the requested land titling and asked to cancel the ownership, agreed definitively to be ownership limited to residential projects."
Najib explained that "ownership of private residential projects to investors territory comes support and encouragement to attract investors, and that after the completion of these projects will own citizens wishing to obtain housing units."
The House of Representatives decided this week to vote on amendments to the investment law next week for lack of quorum, is expected to contribute to the new amendments give investors more privileges and guarantees to work in Iraq.
