BAGHDAD / Sky Press: The Oil Ministry announced on Tuesday, on the conclusion of a contract with Techno Export Company Algikip to create a fourth refinery in the South Refineries Company, indicating that the project will add 70 000 barrels per day.
Said Undersecretary for liquidation Jafar in a statement received "Sky Press," that "the ministry signed a contract with Techno Export Company Algikip to create a refining fourth in the South Refineries Company", adding that "the ministry is seeking to increase the production of oil derivatives to reduce the import and the signing of this contract The ministry has made a new step to be in it. "The duration of the contract with Techno Export Company extends for two years starting from the activation of the financial dependence of the company."
For his part, South Refineries Company director Mahmoud Abdel Amir said "the contract will add to refinery production company 70 000 barrels per day," pointing out that "the establishment of a unit refining fourth is a qualitative leap in increased fuel locally produced."
