preparing the Ministry of Displacement and Migration to establish a special expanded meeting in Iraq early next January in the European Union aims to discuss the migration of Iraqis to Europe via Turkey.
Competencies section ministry official Maan Asod said in a special interview for »Sabah»: The ministry plans the establishment of a special expanded meeting of the EU countries after participating in a workshop held two weeks ago in Turkey focused on Iraqi refugees across the Turkish coast to Europe.
He said the ministry will be discussed during the meeting which will be held at the beginning of next January, the emigration of Iraqis, mostly of degree holders, to Europe across the border (Turkish - Greek), noting that the main reasons behind their migration is the instability of the security situation in their areas, as well as high rates of unemployment in the country.
Asod disclosed a coordination with the United Nations for Refugees (UNHCR) for the settlement of immigrants files from the country for years , to countries where FAO offices are located with a view to submission to the asylum from which fundamentalist, noting that his ministry would form a committee to follow up on the meeting, which will take part by the United Nations, Australia, Germany and Switzerland holding mechanism, within the schedule specified in Baghdad or in the Kurdistan region.
For his part, he noted director Foreign Immigration Department of the Ministry Ahmed Rahim special permit »Sabah», that the ministry conditions of immigrants relay illegally by sea to the EU after take swift action to curb the phenomenon, which has become recently increasing dramatically and at a rate arrived a day to 500 refugees through Turkey .
He said the efforts of his ministry's tireless efforts to establish awareness seminars and conferences education aimed at curbing illegal immigration, as well as the development of a comprehensive study of this file in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the emphasis on not to follow the ways of illegal immigration, especially in countries of Turkey, Greece, Austria, Malaysia, Iraq.
