Oil Ministry confirmed it seeks to create refineries by investing without relying
on the government, pointing out that the ministry will be chock full Mlakatha with the investor.
The Under-Secretary for liquidation Zia al-Moussawi said in an interview I followed "Baghdad News" that "the ministry is seeking to liberalization of the Iraqi economy by relying on the government and to be owned by the government is the sole contractor, "noting that" the ministry is seeking to establish refineries in all provinces by investing without relying on the government.
"Al-Moussawi said that" the ministry of up to dozens of requests for the establishment of refineries by investing some of Gad and others lacking something serious ", adding that" there are requirements should be and that there is available a plan with the ministry should not intersect with those who are thinking to invest.

Iraq has a number of refineries, including the Baiji refinery, located in Salah Aldinwalve province, one of the largest Iraqi refineries, while the establishment of Daura in Baghdad in 1953, and began production in 1955 and have a production capacity of the refinery 140 000 barrels per day, and the production of all petroleum products which meet the needs of the central areas of oil derivatives, in addition to the Basra refinery and a capacity of 220 thousand barrels per day, in addition to small refineries Kmcefy Najaf and Kazak refinery in Mosul.
