The Central Bank of Iraq revealed on Sunday that the banks involved in the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises more than 33 billion dinars during the year 2018 to lend to all Iraqis.
A statement issued by the Center received a copy of it on January 13, 2019, that "the banks participating in the initiative one trillion dinars to finance small and medium enterprises, more than 33 billion dinars during the year 2018 to lend to citizens wishing to establish new projects, That "the total amounts given to banks since the launch of the initiative in the year 2015 until 31/12/2018 amounted to more than 73 billion dinars."
The statement added that "the amounts distributed in various sectors, the proportion of the commercial sector 59%, services 25%, industrial 12% and agricultural 4%," pointing out that "34 banks, including 33 civil banks and one government bank participate in this initiative, For these projects from five million dinars to 50 million dinars, and could reach 100 million dinars after the approval of the Central Bank."
The statement pointed out that "all Iraqis have the right to submit to this initiative through the website of the initiative provided that the legal age of the borrower and the benefits of loans are supported and facilitated procedures."
