Search by representatives of 32 government and private banks, at a conference on Saturday, under the auspices of the Central Bank, the mechanics of granting loans to small and medium-sized enterprises and their impact on economic development support.
The Associate Director of the Central Bank of Iraq Zuhair Ali Akbar, said that "the central bank promising studies and research in order to find a mechanism consistent with Iraqi laws and protect the banks, and at the same time contribute to supporting the economic development."
He added that "the conference, which was held in Hotel Ishtar Sheraton and was attended by representatives from 32 banks locally special and a large number of researchers, academics, economists and scientific centers in universities, research the mechanism of granting loans for industrial projects, agricultural, commercial, tourist, and its impact in accelerating the payment of the local economy forward, to along with the development of the banking sector in the country. "
Ali Akbar predicted that "come out of the recommendations of the task Conference banks determine which priority projects, and legal mechanisms for the granting of loans to ensure the right of banks and contribute to the completion of projects in support of the economy."
