Power station cornerstone laid in Karbala

KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: The cornerstone of a power station was laid down here today, deputy provincial council chairman announced here today.
The capacity of the power station shall be 300 megawatts to be implemented by a Korean company, within the contract signed by Premier Nouri al-Maliki during his recent visit to South Korea.
The ceremony was attended by the South Korean ambassador to Iran Suk P.
Park.
The cost of the project was not declared.
The Executive Director of South Korean STX company disclosed that this station is one out of four to be implemented in Middle Euphrates area.
