Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey told Reuters that Iraqi authorities considering the request to keep the United States and Washington, an active member of Hezbollah captured Ali Mussa Daqduq in custody rather than hand him over to Baghdad before the end of the year.
وسلمت الولايات المتحدة الاسبوع الماضي جميع المحتجزين الباقين لديها في العراق الى الحكومة العراقية ماعدا دقدوق المتهم بتدبير حادث خطف ادى الى مقتل خمسة عسكريين اميركيين في عام 2007. The United States handed last week, all the remaining detainees to have in Iraq to the Iraqi government, except Daqduq accused of masterminding the kidnapping, killing five American military in 2007.
ويخشى مشرعون امريكيون ان يعجز العراق عن الاستمرار طويلا في حبس دقدوق المولود في لبنان وحذروا من ان المحاكم العراقية قد لا تستطيع ادانته. U.S. lawmakers fear that Iraq can not continue for long in solitary Daqduq born in Lebanon and warned that the Iraqi courts might not guilty. وترك المسؤولون الاميركيون الباب مفتوحاً امام امكان احضاره الى منشأة اميركية للمحاكمة امام لجنة عسكرية او في محكمة مدنية. U.S. officials and left the door open to the possibility of bringing him to a U.S. facility for trial before a military commission or in a civil court.
ولم يخض ديمبسي في الحديث عن السيناريوهات القانونية المختلفة التي يجرى دراستها بشأن دقدوق لكنه أقر في مقابلة بان السلطات العراقية ما زالت تدرس طلب الولايات المتحدة الابقاء عليه في عهدتها. Dempsey did not go in to talk about the different legal scenarios that are being studied on Daqduq, but acknowledged in an interview that the Iraqi authorities are still studying the U.S. request to keep him in custody.
وكانت رويترز ذكرت في وقت سابق ان الولايات المتحدة تسعى الى الابقاء على دقدوق في عهدتها. Reuters had earlier reported that the United States is seeking to keep the Daqduq in custody.
وقال ديمبسي لرويترز وهو عائد الى واشنطن بعد رحلة الى لندن "المرة السابقة التي تطرقت فيها الى هذا الامر والتي كانت قبل ذهابي في هذه الرحلة كنا في الوضع الذي ذكرتموه تماما وهو اننا قدمنا طلبات عدة. وهم يدرسون الامر في اطار نظامهم القانوني ولم يردوا علينا بعد". Dempsey said told Reuters as he returns to Washington after a trip to London, "the last time I touched them to this matter, and that was before I went on this trip we were in the situation that you said exactly which we have provided several requests. They are studying it as part of their system, the legal did not respond to us after ".
وقال رئيس الاركان ان المسألة بحاجة لأن تحسم قبل انتهاء المهلة المحددة لذلك في 31 كانون الاول. Chief of Staff, said that the issue needs to be resolved before the deadline for this in December 31.
وسألته رويترز عن احتمال اتخاذ قرار في اللحظة الاخيرة فقال "يحدث هذا في معظم الامور". Asked by Reuters about the possibility of a decision at the last minute, said: "This happens in most things."
