Haider Al-Sufi: Iraq will not need international organizations to recover its smuggled money

Baghdad (NINA) - The legal Expert, Haider Al-Sufi, confirmed Iraq's ability to recover its smuggled and stolen money estimated at $500 billion.
Al-Sufi said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that Iraq has the ability to recover its smuggled and stolen money outside Iraq, especially after the issuance of the Fund to retrieve Iraqi funds from abroad."
He added that this law constitutes an institutional apparatus that pursues Iraq's funds abroad, and is entitled to appoint lawyers, investigators and accountants abroad and grant them wages with the approval of the Prime Minister and through the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice, to pursue the smuggled funds abroad, and the fixed amount is estimated at approximately 500 billion dollars."
He explained that Iraq does not need international organizations and institutions of an international community, but legal investigative measures on the part of the government through the administration of the fund, in addition to the procedures of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice." / End
