{Baghdad} Euphrates News Prime Minister that Iraq was determined to Ttaiwiralaqath military with the UAE so as to ensure its security and defend its borders.
A statement by his press office, received the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of the "Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, received his official office today, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, and the delegation accompanying him." He said, adding that al-Maliki, said the the need to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and the UAE in all fields including the military field. He said, "Our efforts are currently building a military force to a defensive purpose, not offensive as it was done by the previous regime."
The Prime Minister emphasized the presence of broad prospects for military cooperation and non-military, and continued by saying that "the common political will to develop bilateral relations in all fields, as well as mutual trust between the two sides could form the basis for the cooperation of a broad and long-term to serve the interests of both countries."
For his part, Rumaithi, the UAE's readiness for cooperation in all areas, especially in training and equipment. "The UAE is looking forward to building better relations with Iraq." End quote. M
