Left Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, yesterday, for one, to the United States at the head of a ministerial delegation on an official visit to discuss the development of relations between the two countries.
A statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister al-Maliki said that "he left yesterday morning, heading to the United States at the head of official delegation to discuss the development of relations between the two countries and raise the level of cooperation in all areas."
And informed political sources, that the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki of Washington will discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides at some point after the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq.
She added that the most important things that would be discussed during the visit is to strengthen the US-Iraqi relations after the full withdrawal of U.S. troops and the situation in Iraq and arming the Iraqi army and resolve the issue of coaches in line with what has been agreed between the political blocs, including not give any immunity to trained waiting for the claims of the U.S. side on this issue.
According to information for "New Morning" that the talks will also cover Iraq's position on current events in the Arab region and the reconstruction of Iraq and a grant of six billion dollars announced by the United States for Iraq in 2012.
The delegation accompanying the owners of both the Minister of Oil Abdul Karim and coffee and transport Hadi al-Amiri, defense agency, Saadoun al-Dulaimi, trade Khairallah Babiker and national security adviser Faleh Al-Fayad and President of the National Investment Commission Sami al-Araji, the head of the advisers Thamer Ghadban and a number of military experts and security advisors.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced, on the fourth of last November, he will pay an official visit to the United States in the 12 of December, indicating that this visit comes in the context of deepening friendship, cooperation and common interests between the two countries.
Previously, U.S. President Barak Obama in the 21 last October that his country's troops in Iraqi territory would be in the United States during the holidays, stressing that Washington will support Iraq in all fields, as Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on the need to begin a new phase of relations strategy after the American withdrawal from Iraq on schedule end of the year 2011.
Under the security pact signed between Baghdad and Washington at the end of November 2008 that it should withdraw all U.S. forces from all territories and waters and airspace of Iraq not later than 31 December of 2011 the current, having withdrawn U.S. combat forces under the Convention, of the cities and villages and towns in Iraq June 30, 2009.
