International Monetary Fund threatens to raise support for Iraq

Confirmed the parliamentary Finance Committee received a letter from the International Monetary Fund, which threatens to raise support for Iraq in the next year in the event of non-compliance with its terms and observations, particularly the reduction of the operating budget
A member of the Committee Najiba Najib said the International Monetary Fund warned the government of the high operating budget and asked for developing various sectors of agricultural, industrial and tourism to provide other revenues and create the required balance, noting that he had urged the Iraqi government to raise Iraq's oil exports so as to ensure the investment budget
Najib added that the Iraqi government and put an item in the budget, the reconstruction of infrastructure to support the payment term investment budget pointing out that the current budget was ratified by the Cabinet after lengthy discussions with the IMF
