Waiting for the Security and Defense Committee in the House of Representatives return of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki from Washington to keep it informed of agreed upon with the Americans on the future relationship with them, especially in security and military sides. The Committee intends to question al-Maliki about the readiness of Iraqi forces to protect airspace and borders. He said members of the Committee on Wednesday that Iraq has contracted with the United States to buy 38 fighter instead of 16 of the model (F-16) so occupied tenth place among the countries that import arms from the United States.
Said Abbas al-Bayati, a member of the Commission on Security and Defense Council of Representatives in an interview for "world" that the "train the Iraqi army will be concentrated largely on U.S. and Western" and explains that "because there are more than 80% of Our armament from the origins of American and Western and training is part of a deal reinforcing "explains that" the State undertakes to provide us with arms deals, according to Army training in the use of this weapon and switch units and parts. " And confirms al-Bayati, "can not do without the trainers and the Americans with the size of reinforcing and contracts with the U.S. side .. Since the size of the reinforcing and contracts considerably with Iraq, which is the tenth importing weapons from the United States and the fourth country in the region, the majority of coaches probably will be from the American side."
And ignorant of the Chairman of the Commission on Security and Defence how they will agree by Baghdad and Washington over the protection or immunity trainers. Illustrates the "Russians are the experts present at the air bases and have immunity inside the base which is honest and fortified" and continues, "but now I do not know how to be agreed between the Iraqi government and U.S. to give part (of immunity), or not to give." And corrects "the issue of giving immunity is currently untapped and will address the Prime Minister after the return from America," and adds, "there may be a vote in the House of Representatives."
He says Kassem Mohammed Rep. "We are waiting the arrival of al-Maliki to direct questions to him until he provides an explanation for the readiness of Iraqi forces after the withdrawal because it would bear the responsibility to protect the sovereignty and airspace and borders.
