Projects at a cost of 3 trillion dinars for electric power in the region

Minister of Electricity Kurdistan Regional Government, the presentation of his ministry proposal on the territorial Government to implement dozens of projects to develop the electricity sector in Kurdistan, at a cost of about 3 trillion Iraqi dinars. According to Yasin Abu Bakr Maota that "the Ministry of Electricity has offered a proposal for the implementation of several projects to develop the electricity sector, the Government of the Territory at a cost of about 3 trillion Iraqi dinars,"
He pointed out that "the proposal includes the establishment of numerous stations, power transmission and electrical power plants and pipeline transfer of energy." Maota added that "the projects proposed by the ministry requires about three years to be implemented," noting that "the electricity sector in the region is facing increasing pressure because of the growing demand for energy in Kurdistan would require the development of the sector in parallel with that request." In the electricity issue quoted by Hallier for electricity minister in the government of the province Yasin Abu Bakr, the reduction of hours of national electricity from 18 hours to 12 was due to the low amounts of fuel, which provides stations with the minister disclosed that the stations of Arbil and Dohuk that needed a day to 6.4 million liters of fuel, although there is a problem in providing it. The minister acknowledged that the production of electricity by the stations that work are the Eaz Weill projects uneconomical. And that the government paid annually more than one billion and 520 million dollars for the purchase of fuel for these stations is about one fifth of the annual budget of the province.
