Construction announces increase in housing loans to 35 million dinars to all citizens

He Darraji that of the "facilities that were placed in the fund for new housing is to increase the amount of loans to 35 million dinars in Baghdad and 30 million dinars for the city centers in the provinces, in addition to 30 million dinars in the province and district to encourage citizens in the construction of housing units outside the cities," stressing that "the law to ensure the abolition of interest on the amount of lending, which range between 2 to 6 percent, according to the length of time to repay the amount."
He Darraji that "loans, which would give the housing fund would include all citizens after it was limited to the category of employees and retirees, as well as to grant the loan to those who have a piece of residential and 100 per square meter after the specific area of 200 square meters and above."
In another context, the minister of Construction and Housing that "the ministry reached until mid-December to the percentage of completion of 75% of the implementation of special projects in the ministry for the current year 2011," pointing out that "The ministry will reach 92% in the rate of project implementation after transmitting through the days the next few 11 new projects. "
The Darraji that "the General Authority for the building of the ministry received the highest achievement rates and the exchange of special projects of which reached the 92%, followed by the Roads and bridges, and by 85%, and the Public Authority for Housing that the percentage of achievement and the exchange of 61%, indicating that "the remaining projects for the current year will be for the housing sector, which will increase the completion rate.
The Housing Fund, which funds housing projects and enable the Iraqi people to build housing for them by granting mortgages for these purposes gives the borrower $ 25 million for the construction of housing units in the province of Baghdad and 20 million dinars in the provinces and 18 million for the districts and areas.
It is noteworthy that Iraq is suffering a severe housing crisis due to the increasing number of its population, compared to the number of residential complexes, in addition to the inability of citizens with limited income from the construction of housing units of its own, because of the high cost of land and construction materials.
