The statement added that the Directorate of records in the device was able to achieve the inflation report for the month of October 2011 which was prepared on the basis of collected field data »on the prices of goods and services components of the consumer basket of selected sample of outlets in all of Iraq's provinces have adopted the base year 2007, and the results showed indicators, indices of consumer prices at the level of Iraq, the total index of consumer prices (134.2%) in the month of October 2011, recording an increase rate of 0.3% from the previous month at a rate of 4.8% compared with the month of October 2010, the Department of Food and non-alcoholic beverages recorded the prices of this section a decline during the month of October 2011 rate of 1.6% compared to the previous month, due to lower prices in the Kurdistan region by 0.1% and in the south at a rate of 4.9%, while the rose in the center at a rate of 0.4%, the main reason for the low price of this section at the level of Iraq is due mainly to lower prices of fruits and vegetables. This section prices rose by 0.4% compared to price levels in October 2010.
The statement pointed out that the Department of Alcoholic beverages and tobacco prices recorded an increase in Iraq during the current month by 0.2% compared to the previous month, due to higher prices in the South by 0.7% while the saw stable prices in each of the regions of Kurdistan and center. The prices of this section rose by 5.0% compared to prices to the month of October 2010, the Department of Clothing and Footwear: - recorded price in Iraq, down during the current month by 0.4% compared to the previous month, due to lower prices in the Kurdistan region by 0.2% and the south at a rate 0.8% , while the rose in the center at a rate of 0.6%. This section prices rose by 4.3% compared to prices in the month of October 2010.
In the Department of Housing saw a price rise of this section during the current month by 0.3% compared to the previous month, due to higher prices in the Kurdistan region by 1.1% and in the central region at 1.0% and the south at a rate of 8.7%. This section prices rose by 11.5% compared to price levels in October 2010 because of rising rents for the homes of 10.4% and also because of the high wages of electricity prices by 100% due to the application of new rates.
He pointed out that the sub-group of fuel (gasoline, oil and gas) have seen their prices drop during the month of October 2011 by 0.2% compared to the previous month due to lower prices in the region of Kurdistan, a rate of 3.6% in the central region by 0.3%, while rates have risen in the south at 1.8 %. The prices of this group rose by 2.3% compared to prices in the month of October 2010, the Department of household furnishings and equipment: - recorded price in Iraq stable during the current month as a result of the stability of prices in both the center and south, while prices have increased in the Kurdistan region by 0.5% . The prices of this section rose by 2.0% compared to prices to the month of October 2010, while the prices of health department increased during the current month by 0.5% compared to the previous month, due to higher prices in the Kurdistan region by 0.3% and in the central region at a rate of 0.6% in the South rate of 0.5%. The prices of this section increased by 7.9% compared to prices to the month of October 2010, the statement continued: The indicators indices of consumer prices at the level of regions, recorded prices in the Kurdistan region in the month of October 2011 compared to the previous month, a drop of 0.1% resulting primarily from decline in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.1%, prices of clothing and footwear by 0.2%, transport prices by 1.3%, prices of recreation and culture by 0.1%, prices of miscellaneous goods and services at a rate of 2.7%, and in the center recorded prices in the month of October 2011 compared to the previous month rise of 0.5% resulted primarily from higher food prices and non-alcoholic beverages at a rate of 0.4%, prices of clothing and footwear at 0.6%, housing prices at a rate 1.0%, prices of health at a rate of 0.6%, prices of restaurants at 0.1%, prices of miscellaneous goods and services rate of 0.6%, and in the south recorded prices in the month of October 2011 compared to the previous month increased by 1.1% resulted mainly from higher prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.7%, housing prices by 8.7%, prices of health by 0.5%, prices of recreation and culture rate 0.1%, prices of restaurants by 0.4%.
