BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad, Hassan Danae, has confirmed during his reception by Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, on Tuesday evening, Iran's readiness to support the political process in Iraq, according to a Presidential statement on Wednesday.
The statement, received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency, stressed that President Talabani had received the Iranian Ambassador, Hassan Danae and his accompanying delegation in Baghdad on Tuesday evening, during which bilateral relations between Iraq and the Iranian Islamic Republic were discussed on all levels and means for their strengthening and development, in such a way that assures joint interests for the peoples of both friendly countries.
The Iranian Ambassador had "conveyed greetings of Iranian President, Ahmedenijad for President Talabani, "reiterating his country'sreadiness to strengthen the constructive cooperation with Iraq, along with the support by the Iranian Islamic Republic for the political process in the country."
