Nineveh (AIN) –Disguised gunmen detonated excavating machines that belong to a foreigner oil company that operates southern of Mosul.
Security source stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) on Thursday "Unidentified gunmen, disguised with military uniform, stormed the site of the Angolan Company Sun-Angola which works in oil excavating in Nineveh province.”
The gunmen emplaced Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and detonated nine machines used by the Angolan Company in the two fields of (Najma and Qayara) about (60 km) south of Mosul city, the capital of Nineveh province, the source added.
According to the source "Except the guards of the site, none of the Angolan Company’s workers were in site at the assault time.”
“The gunmen asked the guards to withdraw from the Company’s site and the guards responded to their request because they believed that the gunmen were a force of the Iraqi Army,” the source mentioned.
Security forces arrested the guards and started an investigation over the incident, the source concluded. /End/
