Erbil Jan. 16 (PNA) - President of the National Alliance revealed Ibrahim al-Jaafari, on Sunday, that the meeting of the political blocs called for national unity and the need to proceed from the Constitution and the separation of powers and did not resolve any point of controversy, according to a statement of his office.
The statement quoted Jafari as saying that "the meeting did not include resolution of certain points is that the emphasis was on the valuation of this initiative, and focus on the need to preserve national unity, and the starting of the Constitution, and the separation of three powers, at the same time look to the achievements of the national waiting for our people, and not stumble in some partial problems. "
On a date to the next meeting of al-Jaafari said that "the second meeting will be after the return of the brother of the President of the Republic to be traveling today, and perhaps begin to appear more features to move."
The Jaafari, according to the statement that "the National Alliance and while attending the preparatory meeting emphasized the need to interact with all that would preserve the political unity, and strengthen national achievement, and across the political transformation" and called for "strengthening government and parliamentary power, the judiciary, with emphasis on the separation of powers three, and the need for attendance in parliament positively. "
Jaafari said that "other parties praised the initiative, at the same time focused on unity, and the need to overcome some existing problems, and looking forward to taking the political process forward."
The meeting of heads of the blocks is held, Sunday, at the initiative of President Jalal Talabani, attended by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Parliament Speaker Osama Najafi and representatives of the main blocs in parliament, to prepare for meetings and preparatory meetings, which provide for a national conference of the year.
