Baghdad (AIN) –The meeting of the Iraqiya Slate has ended on Thursday evening, with attendance of the IS head Ayad Allawi and other leaders within the Slate, “without reaching a decision about any of available options.”
MP Ayad al-Samarayi of the IS stated to the All Iraq News Agency “The meeting has been concluded a short time ago without reaching an agreement upon any of the options set by the Slate earlier,” noting that “The leaders of the slate decided to hold another meeting on Saturday to settle this issue.”
“We decided to hold a meeting for all the leaders and members of the Iraqiya Slate on next Saturday to take the final decision about this topic,” he added.
“The members of the slate discussed the calls presented by some parts such as the Kurdish alliance, Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council and the Sadr Trend to end the IS boycotting as well as discussing the cases of VP Tariq al-Hashimi and Salih al-Mutleg,” MP Samarayi concluded.
It was expected that the IS will settle its stance towards return of its MPs and Ministers to sessions of the Parliament and Cabinet or turning into an Opposition bloc during its meeting of Thursday evening. /End/
