The ills of a member of the Committee on Energy and Oil MP Bayazid Hassan reasons to postpone the fourth licensing round for oil and gas to the month of April next, to give more time for international companies competing and adult (46) company.
He said Hassan was called (46) a global company specializing in exploration and prospecting of oil and gas by the Federal Ministry of Oil, indicating that this tour will include the signing of contracts with (12) companies, including (3) specialized companies for gas and (9) other companies specialized oil.
He added that the reasons for delay licensing round, the fourth to the month of April next by the Oil Ministry in order to give sufficient time for companies competing by offering offerings during this tour, pointing out that the company that will surpass their offers and their efficiency will be among the selected companies and of the (12) companies only . He expected the good that this round different from previous rounds in terms of type of competing companies being universal and large, as well as it will give the power of economic actors to Iraq through the addition of (29) trillion cubic feet of gas to the Iraqi reserves of $ (112) trillion cubic feet by companies that will explore and gas exploration, while the oil companies will add (10) billion barrels to reserves of oil and 143 billion barrels.
And most likely good to reach Iraq's oil production during the year (2017) to (12) million barrels per day, which will give moral and material support of the Iraqi economy as a result of increased imports of the annual financial, the fact that the Iraqi economy is supported by (90%) on oil revenues, the more production becomes oil as Iraq's imports are growing and the financial.
The fourth licensing round for oil and gas was due to take place at the beginning of this year, but the Iraqi oil ministry earlier announced the postponement of this tour to the month of April.
