Baghdad {: News} Euphrates Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi the importance of encouraging international companies to invest in the country.
A statement by the Office of Issawi received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it on Wednesday that "al-Issawi received Mayank Malik, Regional Director for the group's World Banking {Citibank} have been talking about mechanisms to encourage international companies to invest in Iraq and what can be offered from facilities in this regard."
He added that "al-Issawi stressed Iraq's desire to support investment and development and encourage private sector companies for the purpose of promoting investment and economic reality in Iraq through a range of mechanisms and procedures."
The statement continued, "was also discussed during the meeting on the subject of Iraq's accession to the global market for securities through coordination with the World Bank to boost Iraq's economy forward." Ended.
