Iraq agrees to contract electricity worth $ 363 million with Orascom

Erbil, February 28 (Rn) - The Iraqi cabinet Tuesday approved a contract worth $ 363 million with Orascom Construction Industries, Egypt to build a power station in Baiji, Salahuddin province, located 175 km northwest of Baghdad.
The contract includes installation of six gas units, each of capacity 169 MW Iraq bought from Siemens in 2008 but did not enter service.
