Planning begins work with the provinces for the implementation of development projects

The Ministry of Planning on Wednesday it had begun to work with the provinces on the implementation of development projects through the budget in 2012. The Minister of Planning Ali Shukri, according to (Rn) that began the ministry in coordination with the provincial councils to start implementing development projects within budget in 2012 and accelerate the circulation of transfers from the budget in 2011. "
He added that "the Ministry of Planning is working to accelerate the implementation of service projects and the granting of the provinces with broad powers to facilitate the bureaucratic and administrative procedures," adding that "the Ministry of Planning is working on the successful implementation of the plans drawn accurately to the provinces." This comes at a time of renewed Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki pledged Monday to give the provinces greater powers, but he stressed the centrality of security and natural resources. Maliki has vowed on 28 December, an increase provincial powers after weeks of claims forming regions is controversial among Iraqis.
