Said the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement tonight that the king of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa told the Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, "The Kingdom of Bahrain will participate in the Baghdad summit to strengthen Arab solidarity."
The statement said: "The King of Bahrain met with Zebari in Qasralsafria today and received from him a letter of invitation from President Jalal Talabani to attend the next Arab summit conference in Baghdad."
The statement added that: "During the meeting, they discussed relations, Iraq - Bahrain and Iraq's desire to strengthen bilateral relations on the basis of common interests and mutual respect."
The minister expressed support for the Iraq Bahraini national reconciliation and political reform and the comprehensive national dialogue.
King of Bahrain and stressed the depth of good brotherly relations between the two brotherly peoples, and his commitment to the return of Iraq to exert a strong role in the surrounding Arab and regional levels, and stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain will participate in the Baghdad summit to strengthen Arab solidarity.
In Manama issued an official statement about the King of Bahrain receive Iraqi Foreign Minister and receiving the letter of invitation to Baghdad summit.
According to the statement of Bahrain has welcomed the Iraqi administrator of the King expressed his thanks for the kind invitation and reviewed with the Iraqi Foreign Minister, bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and ways to develop these relationships.
The statement said the Bahraini King stressed the importance of work and coordination to promote Arab unity to confront the challenges facing the Arab nation and its issues crucial that require everyone to make efforts to further unity and solidarity among Arab countries, and hoped for the Arab summit every success in order to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the Arab peoples.
The statement noted that the Bahraini King commissioned the Iraqi foreign minister to convey his greetings to President Jalal Talabani and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his wishes to the brotherly Iraqi people further progress, security and stability.
According to the statement Bahraini Foreign Minister conveyed greetings to the King of Iraq Iraqi President and Prime Minister praised the wisdom of King steps in the reform and modernization made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the fields of development and democracy, praising what links the two countries of a good fraternal relations.
The Foreign Minister held talks this morning with Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa, Bahrain's Foreign Minister.
The talks dealt with relations between Iraq and Bahrain and ways to strengthen between the two brotherly peoples.
Zebari said Iraq government's keenness on the unity and sovereignty of Bahrain and its support for national reconciliation and political reform plan and the implementation of the proposals and recommendations of the independent fact-finding committee and meet the legitimate democratic aspirations of the brotherly people of Bahrain on the basis of the comprehensive national dialogue. / End
