BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Kurdistan Alliance MP Khalid Shwani announced that his alliance will resort to the political majority if the national partnership government failed, noting that they will support a balanced government where all shall participate.
Shwani pointed out to Aswat al-Iraq that "if the partnership government failed, our choice shall be the majority government."
"If it is formed, it should have the greater share of harmony in order to counter the opposition inside the parliament", he added.
Shwani elaborated that "the partnership government is suitable for us, if it has success elements within the current political situation."
He added that the recent meetings with the main rival political entities, Iraqiyah and State of Law, will heel the differences and help ending all political problems.
Iraqi president Jalal Talabani called last Monday all political entities to abide by Kurdish region leader Masoud Barzani initiative, which was made nine months ago.
President Talabani called to stop all media wrangling, as well.
Recently, the differences between Premier Nouri Al-Maliki and Ayad Alawi increased, the most prominent was the statements of State of Law to withdraw confidence from Iraqiyah chief Alawi for not attending parliamentary sessions.
