Baghdad (AIN) –The Vice-President Khudhayer al-Khuzai assured that he discussed with the Iranian President Mahmud Ahmedinejad, during their meeting in Tehran on last Saturday, the issue of supplying Iraq with Electricity Power from Iran.
A statement by Khuzai’s office quoted VP Khuzai as saying “The officials in Iran showed their readiness to supply Iraq with its needs of electricity power,” noting that “The Iraqi Minister of Electricity signed a comprehensive agreement about this issue.”
The statement mentioned that VP Khuzai and President Nejad discussed means of supporting Iraq in rebuilding field and developing political, economic and cultural relations.
“Both sides discussed the issue of the Prisoners of War and agreed to form specialized committees to follow-up and end this issue,” the statement added.
Khuzai assured that “adopting dialogue is the best means to settle the Syrian Crises,” noting that “Iraq is committed to resolutions of the Arab League in this concern.” /End/
