The agreements were signed by Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini and his Iraqi counterpart Rafi Hiyad al-Issawi here in Tehran on Thursday.
After the conclusion of the agreements, the Iraqi minister reiterated his country's readiness to boost economic ties with Iran, and added that the agreement on scrapping the double taxation shows Iraq's determination to enhance economic relations with Iran.
Al-Issawi also noted that Tehran and Baghdad will sign more agreements in the fields of customs and investment in the near future.
The Iranian minister, for his part, said that economic exchanges [between Iran and Iraq] indicate enhanced relations.
"The two countries should pay more attention to their great potentials," he added.
Iran and Iraq have enjoyed growing ties ever since the overthrow of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, in 2003.
Both sides are working on a series of plans to take wide strides in expanding their ties.
