Iraq will be asked some Arab countries write off debts

Iraq has asked Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Libya and Jordan and Sudan, Egypt and Morocco to follow the example of the UAE and Algeria, which has already agreed to write off the entire debt of Baghdad, the total external debt of Iraq in 2003, about $ 140 billion, was settled largely through an agreement with the Paris Club in 2004.
