Algeria write off the debts on Iraq

The Algerian government announced on Saturday to cancel the debts on Iraq.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Algerian Amar Blaney in a press statement that "the Algerian government has since 2010 to cancel the debts of two members of the League of Arab States, namely Iraq and Yemen more than $ 500 million dollars."
The Algerian official described this initiative, "it fit into the context of the continued support of Algeria to the Arab peoples, especially in situations that call for solidarity actions directly related to supporting reconstruction and the efforts of economic and social development."
