(AIN) –The Government of Algeria announced writing off its debts on Iraq.
The official spokesperson of the Algerian Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ammar Balani, reported in press statement ''The Government of Algeria canceled its debts on two members in the Arab League.''
"The Algerian Government canceled more than USD (500) million as debts on Iraq and Yemen,'' the statement added.
The Algerian official described this gesture "To be within the support of the Algerian Government to the Arab States, particularly, the countries which require cooperative acts regarding the rebuilding and social development.'' \END\
